GEIA
       The Glen Echo Improvement Association (GEIA) was founded in 1972 as a non-profit organization. We have a current membership of approximately 115 residents. There are five elected officers who serve a two (2) year term, and three elected association members who serve a three year term as members on the Advisory Committee. The Advisory Committee consists of the five officers and the three advisory committee members.

Glen Echo Lake Car Top Access

Boat Launch:
Roadside pull over on State Land. Parking is very limited on the street. DO NOT park where there is no tresspassing.  DO NOT access the lake on private land next to the Fishing and Wildlife land.
Nearest Launch Address:
 4 Steven Parks Road, Charlton, MA 01507
Put-In Directions (5.4 miles, 9 minutes):
From Exit 9 Sturbridge of the Massachusetts Turnpike (Rt. 90)
  1. At the end of the ramp continue onto Interstate 84.
  2. At mile 1.2, take exit 3A to merge onto Route 20 East/Charlton Road toward Charlton.
  3. ​Follow Route 20 East.
  4. At mile 6.9, at the stop light, turn left onto Stafford Street.
  5. At mile 7.1, at stop sign, turn left onto Route 31 North.
  6. At mile 7.2, turn right to stay on Route 31 North toward Spencer/Paxton.​

  7. At mile 7.8, turn left onto Steven Parks Road. The Car Top Put-In is immediately on your right on wooded town land before the first house on right.​
Park roadside or even better on a nearby paved road after launching.
Primitive car top boat access down narrow trail to edge of pond.
Stay to the right of this sign to avoid conflict with neighboring private land!
