Chain Pickerel and White Perch are also routinely caught through the ice in winter. Lake Chauncy has produced Black Crappie, Brown Bullhead, Chain Pickerel, Largemouth Bass, White Perch, and Yellow Perch that meet

Description
Lake Chauncy is a Great Pond set in the northern portion of Westborough off of Route 9.  Water clarity can be poor, particularly
during algal blooms which can occur on occasion. The shores are lightly wooded and largely undeveloped since Westborough State Hospital land and the Wayne F. MacCallum Wildlife Management Area (formerly Westborough WMA) border much of the lake. The bottom is predominantly muck with some rubble, sand, and gravel. Aquatic vegetation is abundant, occurring mostly in shallow coves along the western and northern shores.

Shore access is extensive and available via public walking trails along the southern, western, and northern shores which lie within the Wayne F. MacCallum Wildlife Management Area. Please contact MassWildlife’s Central District office for additional information and/or restrictions pertaining to public access of Lake Chauncy.

The Town Beach is for Residents of Westborough and Northborough ONLY.
